One of the first places we stumbled upon in our travels through the area was Art Center Sarasota.
ART CENTER SARASOTA
As the region’s first visual arts organization, Art Center Sarasota is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community through the arts. The center features four rotating exhibition galleries offering more than 25 exhibitions annually, year-round classes for kids and adults, and collaborative programming with artists, performers and art groups. There is a vibrant sculpture garden. Admission is free, making it easily accessible to all.
We found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibitions we attended in February were imaginative, playful, and colorful—definitely worth the visit!
Conveniently located in downtown Sarasota, it is easy to find and offers ample parking.
